Okay, so, I got this idea to try and remake that super stylish PRADA Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Mini-Bag. Yeah, the one everyone’s been talking about. I’ve done stuff like this before, so it wasn’t totally new territory for me.
First things first, I went to the PRADA flagship store to check out the real deal. I needed to see it up close, you know? I took a bunch of notes on the details – the stitching, the chain, the logo, all that jazz. I snapped some pictures too, for reference later on. It’s a really neat bag, I gotta say. The Re-Nylon thing is pretty cool, and it’s got this classic vibe that I really dig.
After my little recon mission, I started gathering materials. Finding the right kind of nylon was a bit of a pain, but I eventually found something that was pretty close. The chain was easier – I just hit up a few online stores and ordered a couple of different styles to see which one looked best.
Then came the fun part – actually making the bag. I dusted off my old sewing machine and got to work. I cut out the nylon pieces based on the measurements I’d taken, and started stitching them together. It was slow going at first, but I got the hang of it. I even managed to replicate that cool quilted pattern they have on the original.
Attaching the chain was a bit tricky. I had to make sure it was secure but also looked good. After a few tries, I got it just right. The PRADA logo was the last piece of the puzzle. I found a pretty convincing replica online, and carefully attached it to the front of the bag.
All in all, it took me a couple of weeks to finish the whole thing. But man, was it worth it! The finished product looks surprisingly close to the original. I’m not saying it’s an exact copy, but it definitely captures the spirit of the PRADA Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Mini-Bag.

Things I used:
- Re-Nylon fabric (or something similar)
- Metal chain
- PRADA logo replica
- Sewing machine
- Thread, needles, scissors, etc.
I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. It’s a fun little bag to carry around, and it’s a great conversation starter. Plus, I saved a ton of money by making it myself. If you’re into DIY projects and you love designer bags, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try. Just be prepared to put in some time and effort!
