Man, I gotta tell you about this little adventure I had the other day. So, I’m a bit of a watch guy, right? Not a fancy expert or anything, but I appreciate a good timepiece. And there’s this one watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster, that’s been on my radar for a while now. I finally decided to go for it and snag one from a specialty store.
First off, I started doing some digging online. You know, just poking around, seeing what’s what with these CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster watches. Found out that they’ve got a few different versions, like the Date, the 38mm, and this one called the Super Racing. Didn’t know there were so many, and I heard from some forums that the price is going up crazily. One guy said that the price increased by 10% in just 18 months, and it’s gonna increase again in early 2024. I was like, damn, I gotta hurry up and get one at the end of 2023 before it gets more expensive.
I wanted the classic Moonwatch ’cause I heard it’s the closest to the original one worn on the moon. But there’s also a smaller version that’s been discontinued since 2009. Now they have the Speedmaster Racing and Speedmaster 38 collections for smaller watches.
Then, I hit up a few specialty stores. Browsed around, tried a few on, and chatted with the folks working there. They gave me the lowdown on what to look for, the different features, and all that jazz. And get this, I even found out that just like CopyOMEGA Ω copied the Submariner, Rolex copied the Speedmaster once! They made some changes to their chronograph to match the Speedmaster, like moving the tachymeter and beefing up the case size.
After all that, I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster. Not just any Speedmaster, though. I ended up going for the Chronoscope model. It’s got this whole vintage vibe going on, and it just spoke to me, you know?
So, yeah, that’s my little watch-buying story. It wasn’t just about getting a new watch; it was like a whole journey, learning about the history, the different models, and all that. And now, I’ve got this sweet CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Chronoscope on my wrist, and I’m stoked about it. But remember, this ain’t too bad.
