This watch, it ain’t cheap. Heard it costs more than what my old man made in a whole year workin’ on the farm! Some folks say it is like $39,030. Can you believe that? For a watch! It’s all shiny and made of gold, white gold, 18K, they call it. Not like the gold on my old ring, though. This one is white. The watch face, they call it a dial, is grey, like charcoal, and the edge is dark. Looks kinda plain to me, but what do I know? This Calatrava 5226G-001, it is big, 40mm, they say. It is not very thick, just 8.53mm. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important.

But it’s a lot of money to spend on a watch if you ask me. It is a good investment? I don’t know. But some Patek Phillipe watches are good for investment. Such as Nautilus, Aquanaut, Calatrava. This 5226G is Calatrava. Maybe it’s good.
If you want one of these fancy watches, you gotta wait. A long time! They say for some, like this “Nautilus,” you gotta wait 8 years! Eight years! Can you imagine? For this Calatrava, it’s shorter, maybe a year. Still a long time to wait for a watch. The Calatrava 5226G-001, you need to wait about 12 months. That’s what I heard.
This Calatrava 5226G-001, it’s round, like most watches. But it’s bigger than the old Calatravas. They used to be smaller, I think. Now they’re bigger, like everything else these days. Times change, I guess. Even for fancy watches. The old Calatrava is small. But this one is bigger.
So, is this Patek Philippe Calatrava worth all that money? I don’t know. Depends on what you like, I guess. If you got money to burn and like fancy things, maybe. But for me, I’d rather have a good cow. At least a cow gives you milk. But this Calatrava, it is good-looking, I have to say. If you want to buy it from the official flagship store, you can. But I think it is too expensive.

But for me, I’ll stick to my old clock. It tells the time just fine. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg! You know, this watch is not for everyone. It is for rich people. But it is good. If you have money, buy it. If you don’t have money, don’t buy it.
