So, I heard folks talking about this new Green Submariner watch. Yeah, the Rolex one. It’s a big deal, I guess. My neighbor’s kid wouldn’t shut up about it. Anyway, I got curious and started poking around online. Turns out, there are these, uh, “high imitation” versions of this watch. They’re fake, but apparently, they look pretty darn close to the real thing.
Now, I’m no watch expert, but even I know a real Rolex costs a fortune. These fakes, though, they’re a lot cheaper. Still, I figured, if I’m gonna get one, I gotta do it right. So I started digging deeper.
Found tons of info on High Imitation
First, I spent a good few hours just reading forum posts and blogs. These high imitation Rolexes, especially the Green Submariner, were everywhere. And let me tell you, the amount of info out there is crazy. I found a bunch of places selling them. Prices were all over the place, so I started comparing. I didn’t want to get ripped off, you know?
Made a List of Sellers
Then, I started making a list of sellers that seemed legit. Looked at their websites, read reviews, the whole nine yards. Some of them had pictures and videos that looked decent. I started taking notes on each one, like what they offered, how much they charged, and what people were saying about them.
Narrowed Down the Choices
After a while, I narrowed it down to a few sellers that seemed okay. I reached out to them, asked a bunch of questions. Stuff like, “What kind of movement does it have?” and “Do you have any videos of the watch?” Some of them were pretty responsive, others not so much.
Picked a Seller and Placed an Order
Finally, I picked one that seemed alright and placed an order. It was a bit of a gamble, but hey, you only live once, right? I paid through some online thing, and then the waiting began.
Received the Watch
A couple of weeks later, a package showed up. I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was, the Green Submariner. It looked… well, it looked pretty good, to be honest. I mean, I’m no expert, but it felt heavy, the details seemed sharp, and that green dial, they call it the “Hulk” or somethin’, was eye-catching.
Compared It to Pictures of the Real Thing
Of course, I immediately started comparing it to pictures of the real Rolex Submariner Green. I even found some videos of people comparing real and fake ones. Honestly, it was hard to tell the difference. This thing was a pretty good fake.
Wearing It Out and About
So, I’ve been wearing it out and about for a few days now. Got a few compliments, even. Nobody’s called me out on it being a fake yet. I even showed it to my neighbor’s kid, the one who’s obsessed with Rolexes. He was impressed, to say the least.
- It is a good deal.
- The green color is just like a frog’s belly.
- I will keep wearing it.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with this high imitation Green Submariner. It’s not a real Rolex, but for the price, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a fun little thing to have, and it’s definitely a conversation starter.
