Alright, so, I saw this thing online, this Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. Fancy name, right? I figured, why not try to make one myself? Seemed like a fun little project.
First thing I did was look up pictures of this bag. Gotta know what you’re making, you know? It’s all black and shiny, with this gold “YSL” thing on the front. Looks pretty, I guess. They say it’s a “luxury” item. Well, I’m not one for luxury, but I do like a good challenge.
So, I gathered my materials. I didn’t have any of that fancy leather they use, but I had some old black fabric lying around. And for that shiny gold logo, I found some gold-colored paper. Not the same, but it’ll do.
Cutting the fabric was the next step. I’m no expert, but I managed to cut out some pieces that looked like the ones in the pictures. Then came the sewing. Now, I’ve sewn a button or two in my day, but this was a whole other level. Took me a while, but I got it done. It’s not perfect, a little rough around the edges, but it’s starting to look like a bag.
For the YSL logo, I carefully cut out the letters from the gold paper and glued them on the front. It’s not as shiny as the real thing, but it gives it a little something, don’t you think?
After a few hours, I finally finished it. My own version of the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It’s not exactly like the original, far from it. The fabric is different, the logo is homemade, and my stitching is, well, let’s just say it’s unique.

The Result
So here it is, my homemade YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It may not be a “luxury” item, but it’s special to me. And who knows, maybe I’ll make another one someday. I heard they have other styles too. We’ll see. If you ever want to try something like this, just go for it. It’s a good way to spend an afternoon, and you might surprise yourself with what you can create.
