So, I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface. I’ve been eyeing this beauty for a while, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey from start to finish. It all began with me just casually browsing online, you know, window shopping for watches like I always do.
I stumbled upon some forum posts and articles about the Reverso Tribute, and man, the history behind this watch is something else. It was created back in the 1930s, can you believe it? Apparently, it was designed with this cool Art Deco vibe and the whole Golden Ratio thing. I don’t really get into all that mathematical stuff, but it does look damn elegant.

Next, I started comparing prices. I saw that the Reverso Tribute Monoface was going for around $8,900, which seemed pretty reasonable for such an iconic piece. I mean, it’s not cheap, but it’s not outrageous either. I also read that the price is pretty fair for one of the most historic and important watches ever created.
Then came the hard part – actually finding one. I checked out the Jaeger-LeCoultre website and saw the Tribute Duoface Calendar, which also caught my eye. But my heart was still set on the Monoface. I went to a few authorized dealers in my city, but they were all out of stock. Talk about frustrating!

The Moment of Truth
I didn’t even hesitate. I whipped out my credit card and bought it right then and there. The feeling of finally owning this watch was incredible. And I just purchased it several days ago. I haven’t had much time to actually wear it out yet. I’m still kind of babying it, you know? But I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorites. I plan to wear it to work, on special occasions, and maybe even on family vacations. It’s just so versatile.

I’m so happy with my purchase, and I can’t wait to create many memories with this timepiece on my wrist. Let me just say it again, I really love the design of Reverso Tribute Chronograph (ref. Q389848J) A chronograph is very difficult to fit into a rectangular-shaped watch, but JLC nailed it.
